Albums
The discography of American rock band Toto includes 13 studio albums, 4 live albums, as well as a number of compilations. In addition to releasing original music, Toto has also done collaborations with other artists as well as on soundtracks for films. The band has received multiple Grammy Awards.
Before Toto was formed, members of the band did sessions for other musicians. Drummer Jeff Porcaro, bassist David Hungate, and keyboardist David Paich (the son of session percussionist Marty Paich and brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro) played on Boz Scaggs' 1975 album Silk Degrees. Toto was formed in 1976 as a result of the collaboration.
The third album of Toto, Turn Back, marked a departure from the more progressive sound of their earlier albums and was criticized for the absence of hit singles. In 1985 the group's lead singer Fergie Fredericksen quit The band held auditions to find a new frontman. Guitarist Steve Lukather was chosen, and the group recorded their album Fahrenheit in 1986.
In 1998, Toto celebrated its 20th anniversary by scouring through old tapes and demos to release a special edition called Toto XX. The album was well received by fans and the band embarked on a tour that featured former members Bobby Kimball, Steve Porcaro, and Joseph Williams.
Shem von Schröck replaced Leland Sklar as the drummer during the tour in support of the 40 Trips Around the Sun album. In 2017, Toto released the double-CD set Falling in Between. It included recordings from the tour as well as an interview with the group.

Toto is an American rock band formed in 1977 in Van Nuys, Greater Los Angeles. In 1983 the group released Toto IV, which earned an international praise. Following the success of the album, the band went on a world tour support of it. During the tour, lead vocalist Bobby Kimball was arrested on drug charges. At the conclusion of the tour, the band decided to let him go and hire guitarist/singer Joseph Williams to take his place. David Hungate, the drummer was also let go following the tour. Leland Sklar replaced him.
The TOTO Museum is an impressive futuristic building that has several rooms devoted to telling the story of the company and its most innovative product. The exhibits at the museum include toilets and faucets, as well as tableware that have contributed to the growth of TOTO in the past half century. In 1985, Fergie Frederiksen, Toto's drummer, left the group for personal reasons. Toto decided to conduct an audition and eventually selected Joseph Williams to replace Frederiksen.
Before and during the time of Toto's creation the members of the group worked as session musicians for a wide variety of artists. Drummer Jeff Porcaro and bassist David Hungate were on the album Silk Degrees by Boz Scaggs, which led to Toto's formation. Keyboardist Paich was frequent on records by Steely Dan, Seals and Crofts, and Sonny and Cher.
In 1998, Toto started working on the project titled Old Is New. This album featured three new tracks as well as several finished recordings of older songs. The album was a huge success across the globe and the band embarked on a tour around the world to promote the album.

Toto known for the hit song "Africa", recently came together to promote their latest album, All In. The album, which was released on November 6, 2018, included three brand new tracks from their forthcoming album 40 Trips Around the Sun as well as completed recordings of four previously released tracks featuring Jeff Porcaro playing drums and Mike or Steve Porcaro playing bass. The album also featured a cover of Weezer's song "Hash Pipe" which the band decided to include after hearing a rendition on the radio.
